There is something very vulnerable about sharing this drawing from beginning to end. If you're paying attention, you'll catch many adjustments as I add facial features. However, I am happy with how this character turned out!
In my last book, I drew the main character in pencil, scanned my drawings, and added color in Photoshop. With this book, I've decided to create the characters, in their entirety, in Photoshop. One thing I have enjoyed about doing all of the illustrations in Photoshop is that if I make a mistake, it's a little easier to correct as I go along. I feel there's nothing wrong with either type of illustration, but if you notice a difference in the art style, that's why. I have one more character to add to this page, but I will save her for a later reveal. I'll be back to share more progress once I move to the next spread.
