Thank YOU!

As we approach the second anniversary since "Fern" was published, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has ordered my little book. Moreover, it has been a joy to receive dozens of emails, texts, and video clips of children thanking me for writing Fern. I couldn't have anticipated how sweet it would be to see how far "Fern" would travel and to hear how much my book is appreciated.

Last week, I received a handmade card from a talented young artist who happens to share my love of birds. I am just so grateful for these little reminders that my first book is still finding its way into the hands of new readers. I hope Izzy doesn't mind that I wanted to showcase her artwork. I am so impressed with every detail of this card. She even included an emblem on the back of the card! The texture on the cardinal was eye-catching too, and reminiscent of a pointillism technique. I love it.
